McLaren has pushed hard to bring the latest development package to the Marina Bay circuit, but has only produced enough parts for one car to have the entire range of new elements.
Norris will have access to all of them during the upcoming weekend, whereas his teammate Oscar Piastri will initially receive some of the new components before acquiring the entire range starting from the Japanese GP next weekend.
The team will unveil the complete set of aerodynamic modifications for the first time on Friday, in addition to implementing a new high-downforce rear wing that was tested at the Dutch GP.
Norris has stated that the main objective of the revisions is to address the weaknesses faced by the MCL60 at low speed during this year. However, he has also expressed anticipation for the promising potential that has been demonstrated.
He stated that it was the most notable advancement in McLaren’s car since the significant update that had greatly improved their season after the Austrian GP.
