Truex emerged victorious in both stages and showcased exceptional speed throughout the race. However, he faced difficulty overtaking Buescher during the final laps.
At a certain moment, he drove up next to Buescher, but almost lost control while passing beneath the No. 17 RFK Racing Ford. The driver from Joe Gibbs Racing had to accept second place, but managed to increase his lead in regular season points even more with another impressive performance.
The race, which lasted for two days due to rain, was hindered by nine cautions.
There were a total of 26 instances where the lead position changed hands, with 16 different individuals taking turns in the lead.
Several of the top drivers had a challenging day as Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, and William Byron all experienced early crashes. Christopher Bell also spun out while competing for the lead but managed to recover and finish in 13th place.
