
The race on Sunday experienced a delay of over 90 minutes due to rain. However, it eventually started, only to be put under caution on lap 75 of 200 when it returned to the area near the 2-mile oval.
NASCAR made the decision to delay the rest of the race until Monday at 12 p.m. ET, following a wait of over 50 minutes. The race will be televised live on USA Network.
Tyler Reddick was leading the race when it was called, with Alex Bowman, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr., and Erik Jones following closely behind.
The top-10 running order was completed by Austin Cindric, Brad Keselowski, Austin Dillon, Bubba Wallace, and Denny Hamlin.
Stage 1
Truex held off a late charge from Wallace on a restart with six laps remaining and claimed the Stage 1 win. Ty Gibbs was third, Keselowski fourth and Larson fifth.
During the competition with Ryan Blaney for position, Kyle Busch lost control and forcefully collided with the wall at Turn 2. This unfortunate incident resulted in his elimination from the race after completing 15 laps.
Chase Elliott experienced a punctured rear tire and collided in Turn 2 shortly before the end of the initial stage, resulting in an early trip to the garage.
Stage 2
After the pause between Stages 1 and 2, Bowman emerged as the first driver to leave the pit road and maintained his position at the front when the race restarted on lap 51.
Christopher Bell briefly took the lead from Bowman on lap 65 by maneuvering to the inside. However, he quickly lost control and collided with the wall, resulting in a caution being issued.
Bell’s Toyota No. 20 encountered minor damage but managed to continue participating in the race.
After heeding the warning about Bell’s incident, Reddick quickly overtook Bowman to take the lead once the race resumed.
NASCAR placed the race under caution on lap 75 as rain moved back into the area.
NASCAR decided to reschedule the rest of the race for Monday at noon ET, following a short delay.
