Chastain, who is 30 years old, will be participating in his fourth Xfinity race of the 2023 season during the upcoming weekend. However, unlike his previous three races with DGM Racing, he will not be racing with them at Michigan.
The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series championship runner-up will be reuniting with Kaulig Racing for the first time in nearly three years.
Chastain played a crucial role in securing Kaulig’s inaugural NASCAR win, which occurred during a 2019 Xfinity race held at Daytona. Subsequently, he continued to drive the No. 10 Chevrolet for the team throughout the next year, achieving a commendable seventh-place finish in the overall standings.
Kaulig has used a variety of drivers in its No. 10 car this year, including Chastain’s Cup Series team-mate Daniel Suarez and his Cup Series team owner Justin Marks.
Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, A.J. Allmendinger, Austin Dillon, Justin Haley, Jordan Taylor, and Derek Kraus have also driven the car.
Larson emerged as the winner at Darlington representing Kaulig, while Allmendinger secured victories at Austin and Nashville.
Chastain has participated in 200 races in the Xfinity Series since 2014, achieving two victories throughout their career.
