LaJoie has driven the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro since 2021, recording two top-fives and three top-tens. He currently sits 27th in the championship standings, 153 points ahead of his team-mate Ty Dillon.

Earlier this year, he drove the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet at Gateway while Chase Elliott was serving a one-week suspension.

On Wednesday, it was announced that he will continue as the driver for Spire’s No. 7 vehicle for an undisclosed number of years in the future.

Corey LaJoie took a risk by joining Spire Motorsports when we had no resources, no cars, and no race shop,” stated Jeff Dickerson, co-owner of Spire Motorsports. “He is an integral part of our team, and it’s difficult to express the significance of his dedication to T.J. Puchyr and myself. He made a well-considered and intentional decision to remain with Spire Motorsports, despite having other opportunities. We are thrilled that Corey will continue to be the foundation of this team, and we are prepared to continue making significant advancements every time we begin.”

The team has recently disclosed a fresh long-term collaboration with Gainbridge as well.

LaJoie made his Cup debut in 2014, and has since started 222 races with a best finish of fourth. He’s a winner in both the ARCA and NASCAR Modified divisions, and also hosts the popular Stacking Pennies podcast.

“When Jeff, TJ, and I gathered around the conference table three years ago, armed with a whiteboard and a shared goal of establishing a formidable racing team, I was filled with enthusiasm for the task,” LaJoie stated. “Since that momentous meeting, I have experienced personal growth, maturity, and skill development, and I am committed to further enhancing myself and my extended family at Spire Motorsports for the foreseeable future. We will persistently work towards achieving success and satisfying our valued partners both on and off the racetrack. Moreover, we are particularly excited to involve our dedicated fans in this incredible journey.”
